The poem “Eviction by the Farmer” written by Zim Mnotoza is based on the concept of discriminatory land seizures of white farmers of Zimbabwe. Robert Mugabe was the president of Zimbabwe and he orchestrated the eviction of farms of white farmers.

These farmers faced violence and their land, property and farms were taken from them forcefully.

They had live in a place without any amenity or facility and were compelled to move to a different place. Their life became miserable, chaotic and disorganised.
