ANSWER:-

  • Plants (like sunflowers) have a very slow response to stimuli because, unlike animals, plants do not have nervous systems or muscles and bones, so they cannot move relatively fast. A plant mostly responds to change by deliberately varying its growth rate or its direction of growth. This slow movement of plants towards or away from a stimulus like light is known as tropism.

  • Analyzing of Sunflower:- Over a matter of a day, the flower-heads in a field of sunflowers slowly turn which tracks the path of the Sun across the sky. The movement is virtually extremely slow to notice. In the early morning, the flower heads all face east and by evening they all face west and this movement is called phototropism. Phototropism is the movement of part of a plant or a tree towards the light which occurs as chemicals shift from one side of the stems to the other.
