Ananda leaves her house at 8:30am for his school .the school is 2km away and classes start at 9:00am . if he walks at a speed of 3km/h for the First kilometer .at what speed should he walks the second kilometer to reach just in time.​

 \sf distance = 2 \: km

 \sf total \: time = 30 \: minutes = 0.5 \: hourintial

speed is equal to 3 kilometres per hour for the first hour hence time taken

 \sf  =  \frac{distance}{speed}  =  \frac{1}{3} \:  hour

 \sf time \: left = 0.5 -  \frac{1}{3}  =  \frac{0.5}{3}

 \sf distance \: left = 1 \: km

hence speed at which he should walk second km would be

 \sf  \frac{1}{(0.5/3)} = 6 \: km \: per \: hour
