Baba Amte, one of modern India's most inspirational social activists, died today at Anandwan, his humanitarian project at Warora in Chandrapur district of Vidarbha. He was 93. Suffering from leukaemia for the past few months, Amte's health deteriorated over the last two days. He breathed his last at 4:15 am today.
