Answer:

Good morning all, I am jyotisingh2327

and I would like to welcome you all. How blissful this morning is where we are gathered to celebrate our republic day. After uncountable sacrifices of our freedom fighters, we got independence on 15th August 1947. And because of it only we can gather and speak freely today. We owe a great thank you to all of them. I salute all those freedom fighters.

We have heroes who wrote our constitution. One of the biggest constitution in the world. After the amendment of the constitution we became a “Republic of India”, and the day was 26th January 1950. 26 January was chosen as the Republic day because it was on this day in 1930 when the Indian National Congress proclaimed the Declaration of Indian Independence (Purna Swaraj) as opposed to the Dominion status offered by the British Regime.

On 28 August 1947, the Drafting Committee was appointed to draft a permanent constitution, with Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as chairman. A draft constitution was prepared by the committee and submitted to the Assembly on 4 November 1947. The Assembly met, in sessions open to the public, for 166 days, spread over a period of 2 years, 11 months and 18 days before adopting the Constitution. After many deliberations and some modifications, the 308 members of the Assembly signed two hand-written copies of the document (one each in Hindi and English) on 24 January 1950. Two days later, it came into effect throughout the whole nation.

Today we as the country still facing a lot of problems; corruption, crime, caste politics, terrorism and more. Is this the dream our freedom fighter and constitution maker saw? I think “No”. Today on 69th republic day, let us dream again of the free, fair and happy nation. We have talent, people, and hope; there is only the need to get together and see this one dream. There is nothing impossible for our country if we forget our differences and come together as a nation. Let’s make India great again.
