First a peraon travels 8 cm from p to q then move 6 cm at right angle(90°). So let the final point be R. Now join the point P to R. Then a right angled triangle is formed named PQR triangle. By pythagoras theorem, we get PR²= PQ²+QR² PR =√8²+6² cm So PR = √100 =10 cm Hence the resultant displacement is 10 cm
