Particles are made of atoms and molecules.

Pure substances which is made up of only one kind of atoms is called an ELEMENT.

Pure substances which is made up of only one kind of molecules is called a COMPOUND.

Examples of Elements: Hydrogen (H),Oxygen (O),Nitrogen (N),Chlorine (Cl),Bromine (Br),Iodine (I), Carbon(C),Silicon (Si),Sodium (Na),Magnesium (Mg), Aluminium (Al),Iron (Fe),Copper (Cu),Silver (Ag),

Gold (Au) .

Examples of Compounds: Hydrogen(H2O),
