They also have well-developed insulation in order to retain body heat, such as fur and blubber in mammals, and downy feathers in birds.

Now, Reptiles and Amphibians are cold-blooded,  meaning that they lack an internal thermostat. Instead, they regulate their body heat through their interactions with the environment, which is why reptiles bask in the sunlight in the early hours of morning in order to move around in the afternoon.
