This line is from the poem 'Dust of Snow' written by robert frost . It explains as the poet was in grief and sorrow all day but as he passed by a hemlock tree ( hemlock is a poisonous tree) some snow falled on him which changed his mood and was now a bit happy and due the snow which falled on him his mood chnged from sadness to happiness . So, the poet says the day which was going to be ruined because of the grief i was in was saved due the snow that falled and changed his mood .
