Attempts to plant it elswhere, even within Manipur, have been made, but the flower seems to refuse to grow and live for any length of time away of its original habitat. And so, to the world at large the Shirui Lily exists only in picture ad records. If anyone wish to see it in all its glory and serence beauty, one has to climb the high altitude of the Shirui Hills.
