If we solve the polynomial we get

x³+(a+1)x²+x(7+a)+7=x³+2x²+bx+c

from here

a+1=2⇒a=1

7+a=b⇒7+1=b⇒8=b

7=c

∴a+b+c=1+ 8 +7

           =16
