The correct answer is 18 mins.

Given: Time taken by Andrew to walk to his school = 30 min.

To Find: Minutes saved by Andrew by cycling to school rather than walking.

Solution:

Time taken by Andrew to reach school by cycling = \frac{2}{5} * Time taken by walking

= \frac{2}{5}*30

Time taken by cycling = 12 mins

Time saved = Time taken earlier(by waling) - time taken by cycling

Time saved = 30 - 12

Time saved = 18 mins

Hence, time saved by Andrew by cycling to school is 18 mins.
