Answer: Andy Goldsworthy, is a brilliant naturalistic British land artist who uses natural materials found in the environment to create his artwork.

His artworks are presented in the form of outdoor sculptures which are meant to be temporary. He photographs his artwork and then allows it to remain in the natural environment and decay at its own rate.

He uses a vast range of natural materials including, flowers, mud, ice, leaves, twigs, pebbles, stones, snow, thorns, bark, grass and pine cones. He quotes that he ‘works with nature as a whole’.

The lesson plans are based on this concept of children interacting directly with the environment similar to how Andy Goldsworthy does and utilising the natural environment and materials within it to create something unique and beautiful.
