Andy has baked twice the no of muffins Lucy bakwd.If Andy gives away 18 muffins and Lucy Gives away 6 muffins they now have equal no of muffins.How many muffins did Andy bake?

Let the no. of muffins baked by Lucy = x
Let the no. of muffins baked by Andy = 2x

Muffins given  by Andy = 2x - 18
Muffins given by Lucy = x-6

Now the question says that they both have equal no of muffins therefore:

2x-16=x-6
2x-x=16-6
x=10

Andy muffins baked was = 2x
therefore 2*10= 20 muffins
