Answer:

The cost of each bar of soap is 9.6 peso

The cost of each can of milk is 4.75 peso  .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The bill amount of 6 cans of milk and 2 bars of soap = 50 peso

The change after purchase = 2.80 peso

So, The bill amount = 50 peso - 2.80 peso

Or, The bill amount = 47.2 peso

6 c + 2 s = 47.2                   ..........A

Again

The bill amount of 4 cans of milk and 3 bars of soap = 50 peso

The change after purchase = 2.20 peso

So, The bill amount = 50 peso - 2.20 peso

Or, The bill amount = 47.8 peso

4 c + 3 s = 47.8                    ........B

Solvinf eq A and eq B

3 (4 c + 3 s) - 2 (6 c + 2 s) = 3 × 47.8 - 2× 47.2

Or, (12 c - 12 c) + (9 s - 4 s) = 143.4 - 94.4

Or, 0 + 5 s = 49

∴   s = \dfrac{49}{5}

Or, s = 9.6 peso

So, The cost of each bar of soap = s = 9.6 peso

Again

put the value of  in eq B

4 c + 3 × 9.6 = 47.8

Or, 4 c = 47.8 - 28.8

or, 4 c = 19

∴    c = \dfrac{19}{4}

i.e  c = 4.75 peso

So, The cost of each can of milk = c = 4.75 peso

Hence, The cost of each bar of soap is 9.6 peso

And The cost of each can of milk is 4.75 peso  . Answer
