so <B=<C[angles opposite to equal sides are equal]

<A=40°

<A+<B+<C=180°[angle sum property]

40°+x+x=180°

2x=180°-40°

x=140°/2

x=70°=<B=<C

<BCA+<ACD=180°[ linear pair]

70°+y=180°

y=180°-70°

y=110°=<AND
