a+b=140 (sum of two interior angle of triangle is equal to exterior angle )

a+a=140(since a=b)

2a=140

a=70

∠a = ∠b = 70°

Given:

Angle ACD is an exterior angle of triangle.

ABC the measures of angle a and b are equal measure of angle.

Angle ACD equals to 140 degrees.

To find:

The measure of angles a and b

Concept used:

Sum of any two angles of triangles = Exterior angle of third angle of triangle.

Explanation:

ABC the measures of angle a and b are equal measure of angle.

Sum of any two angles of triangles = Exterior angle of third angle of triangle.

Angle ACD is an exterior angle of triangle. it is exterior angle of third angle of triangle.

So, ∠a+∠b = 140°

       ∠a + ∠a = 140°

             2∠a = 140°

                ∠a = 70°

Given a and b are equal measure of angle.

∠a = ∠b = 70°
