Answer: X = 85 , Y = 55

Step-by-step explanation:

Sum of angles in a triangle = 180

ATQ:

X + Y + 40 = 180

X - Y = 30

X + Y = 140

X - Y = 30

Adding above two

2 X = 170

X = 170/2 = 85

X - Y = 30

85 - Y = 30

Y = 85 - 30 = 55

So the angles are 85 , 55 , 40
