I think in the question they have mentioned that XY is parallel to PQ.

But you didn't mention it here. If mentioned in the book, this is the answer.

Given, Angle MLY=Angle 2LMQ

To find, Angle LMQ

Since, XY is parallel to PQ,

Angle MLY+Angle LMQ=180° (Co-interior angles)

Let Angle MLY be x

So,

x+2x=180°

3x=180°

x=180°/3

x=60°

Therefore,

Angle MLY=60°

Angle LMQ=2x=120°
