angle of elevation of the top of the tower from the foot of the hill= 30

height of the tower= 50m

tan theta = opposite/adjacent

tan 30 = 50/BC = 1/√3

BC = 50√3.............1

tan theta= opposite/adjacent

tan 60 = ab / 50√3 = √3

ab = 50×3

ab = 150

therefore, the height of the hill is 150
