D = 2 Teta - 360
=2(40)-360
= 80-360
=280 is the ans

incidence angle , i = 40°

emergent rays that makes an angle 50° with incident ray.

we know, deviation angle , delta = angle between incident ray and emergent ray = 50°

using formula, delta = i +e

= 40° + 50°= 90°
