angle of incident is 45 degree and the angle of refraction is 30 degree . calculate the refractive index of second medium with respect to first medium​

Using snell's law

 \sin(i)  \div  \sin(r)  =  \gamma

here  \:  \:  \: \gamma  = refractive \: index

 \gamma  =  \sin(45)  \div  \sin(30)

1/v2÷1/2

v= root

 \gamma  = 2 \div  \sqrt{2}

 \gamma  = 2 \div 1.414 = 1.414

thus refractive index is 1.414
