Given : Angle RSU is complementary to angle UST. Angle QSR is congruent to angle RSU.

To Find : Which statement is true about angles UST and QSR?

They are complementary.

They are supplementary.

They are congruent.

They are obtuse.

Solution:

Two Angles are Complementary when they add up to 90 degrees

Angles need not to be adjacent to each other

Angle RSU is complementary to angle UST

=> ∠RSU  + ∠UST = 90°

Angle QSR is congruent to angle RSU.

=> ∠QSR = ∠RSU

=> ∠QSR + ∠UST = 90°

Hence  ∠UST and ∠QSR are complementary.
