angle XLM= (2x - 10)° and angle LMQ= x + 30°, find x.
please explain step by step. ​

Answer:

We have ∠XLM=(2x−10)° and ∠LMQ=(x+30)°

Also, line XY || line PQ

∴ ∠XLM and ∠LMQ are alternate angles.

and alternate angles on parallel lines are congruent.

∴∠XLM=∠LMQ

∴2x−10=x+30

⇒2x−x=30+10

∴x=40°
