Area of shaded portion = Area of circle - Area of triangle
= π × r² - 1/2 × b × h
= π × OA² - 1/2 × AB × OC
= 22/7 × 5² - 1/2 × 8 × 5
= 22/7 × 25 - 4 × 5
= 550/7 - 20
= 410/7
= 58.57
≈ 59 cm²
Therefore, the area of shaded portion is 59 cm²
