If the two lines are parallel the the addition of co-interior angles of same side of transversal is supplementary.
therefore,
(5x-10)+(2x-20) = 180
5x+2x-10-20=180
7x= 180+30
7x=210
x=210÷7
x=30
first angle= 5x-10 = 5 × 30 -10 = 150-10=140°
second angle= 2x -20= 2 × 30 -20=60-20 = 40°
