w₁ = initial angular velocity = 30 rpm = 30 (2π/60) = π rad/s

w₂ = final angular velocity = 60 rpm = 60 (2π/60) = 2π rad/s

t = time = π sec

angular acceleration is given as

α = (w₂ - w₁)/t

α = (2π - π)/π

α = 1 rad/s

r = distance from center = 20 cm = 0.20 m

tangential acceleration is given as

a = r α

a = (0.20) 1

a = 0.20 m/s
