The total Quantity bought by Anil = 3 kg

Given:

Anil buys 3/4 kg tomatoes, 1/2 kg brinjals 1/4 kg green chilies and

1 .1/2 kg potatoes from markets.

To find:

The total quantity of vegetables brought by Anil

Solution:

The quantity of each vegetable bought by Anil

Tomatoes = 3/4 kg

Brinjal  = 1/2 kg

Green chillies = 1/4 kg

Potatoes = 1.1/2 kg

For simple calculation covert given quantities into garms

As we know 1 kg = 1000 grams multiply each quantity with 1000

=> Tomatoes = 3/4× 1000 = 750 grams

=> Brinjal  = 1/2 × 1000 = 500 grams

=> Green chillies = 1/4 × 1000 = 250 grams

=> Potatoes = 1.1/2 = 3/2 × 1000 = 1500 grams

The total quantity bought by Anil = Sum of all quantities

= 750 + 500 + 250 + 1500 = 3000 grams

As we know 1000 grams = 1 kg

=> 3000 grams = 3 kg

Therefore,

The total Quantity bought by Anil = 3 kg
