Step-by-step explanation:

Let the total income be x.

1/8=1/8×25000

=Rs 3125

1/2=1/2×25000

= Rs 12500

1/4=1/4×25000

= Rs 6250

Therefore,total money

3125+12500+6250+25000

= Rs 46875

Solution!!

Let his income be x.

Given to charity = 1/8 of x

= (1/8) × x

= x/8

Given to his son = 1/2 of x

= (1/2) × x

= x/2

Given to his daughter = 1/4 of x

= (1/4) × x

= x/4

Donated to school = Rs 25,000

Now, the sum of these will give us the value of x, which is his income.

(x/8) + (x/2) + (x/4) + Rs 25,000 = x

(x/8) + (x/2) + (x/4) = x - Rs 25,000

(x + 4x + 2x)/8 = x - Rs 25,000

7x/8 = x - Rs 25,000

(7x/8) - x = - Rs 25,000

(7x - 8x)/8 = - Rs 25,000

-x/8 = - Rs 25,000

x/8 = Rs 25,000

x = Rs 25,000 × 8

x = Rs 2,00,000

Hence, Anil's income is Rs 2,00,000.
