Anil is older than his friend Baiju by 3 years.Anil's father is thrice as old as Anil.Baiju is, as old as his sister chitra .The ages of chitra and Anil's father differ by 49 years .Find the ages of Anil and Baiju

Let Ani’s age be m.

Then Baiju’s age = m-3

Anil’s father’s age=3m

Chitra’s age=m-3

So 3m-(m-3)=49

2m+3=49

2m=46

m=23

So Anil’age is 23 years and Baiju’s age is 20 years

shameemamk: If Baiju is 16 and Anil is 19, then Anil’s father will be 57 and Chitra will be 16. Here 57-16 is 41, not 49.
