Anil is older than his friend Baiju by 3 years. Anil's father is thrice as old as Anil. Baiju is twice as old as his sister Chitra. The age of Chitra and Anil's father differ by 49. Find the ages of Anil and Baiju.

Let,

According to the question,

Chaitra's age = X years,

Baiju's age = 2X years,

Anils age = 2X + 3 years.

3(2X + 3) -X = 49,

6X + 9 -X = 49,

6X - X = 49 - 9,

5X = 40,

X = 40/5,

X = 8.

2X = 2 x 8 = 16,

2X + 3 = 2 x 8 + 3 = 19.

Baiju's age is 16 years and

Ani'ls age is 19 years.
