Answer:

20 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

Given Anil is twice as good a student as bharat and is able to finish a work in 30 minutes less than bharat's time, to find the time in which both of them can finish the same work together.

Let Anil be able to do the work in x min

In one min Anil will be doing 1/x piece of work.

Let Bharat be able to complete the work in x + 30 min

So in one min he will complete 1/x + 30 piece of work.

Now given 1/x = 2(1/x + 30) (because Anil is twice as good as Bharat)

 So 2 x = x + 30

       x = 30

So Anil will do 1/30 piece of work in one min

Bharat will do 1/30 + 30 = 1/60 piece of work.

Now together they will be doing 1/30 + 1/60 = 1/20

Together 1/20 piece of work is done in 1 min

Therefore one full work is done in 1/1/20 = 20 minutes.

Both can finish the same work in 20 minutes
