Animal cells burst if they are put in water. Suggest a reason for this.. (Hint: look at the difference in the structure of plant and animal cells)

Yes this would happen because animal cells have cell membrane which is not made for rigidity whereas plant cells have cell wall made of cellulose which give rigidity to withstand the pressure of water
