Animal cell have only cell membrane but plant cell contain..Cell wall which is hard and cell membrane ...so presence of cell wall..hlp plant cell to stable in the water

Yes this would happen because animal cells have cell membrane which is not made for rigidity whereas plant cells have cell wall made of cellulose which give rigidity to withstand the pressure of water
