animal farm book why are all the animals going to the barn?
Answers
And moreover animals also feel safe in barns,
they are given food. etc
Answer:
Because Old Major had called them.
Explanation:
It's night. And every animal in Manor Farm has heard of the news that Old Major is going to say something important to everyone. They know that the Major had had a curious dream and he wants to share it with them.
The dream is -
Old Major remembered the lyrics to the lullaby his mother and other sows had sung to the little piggies when they were young. It was called "Beasts of England" and in the dream, the lyrics returned to the now very aged Wellington Beauty. I remember the lyrics go
"Beasts of England, Beasts of Ireland
Beasts of every land and clime
Hearken to my joyful tiding
Of the golden future time
Soon or late the day is coming
Tyrant Man shall be o'erthrown
And the fruitful fields of England
Shall be trod by beasts alone"
So in conclusion, Major called up the animal to stay alert of the time when Man shall be overthrown and to work hard for that future. This was supposedly done so some three days before Major's death (in the book) but in the movie, Major was shot at that spot after Jones woke up from the noise of the animals singing the song.
Hope this helped.
