Animal smuggling and poaching can contribute to
the extinction of a species. Some countries destroy
animals, birds and eggs caught being smuggled.
Many licensed breeders of rare birds offer to
incubate the eggs and raise the young birds, so they
can be returned to their native habitat. Why might
governments be reluctant to take up their offer? What
do you think? Justify your answer.

Answer:

Government must be unwilling to the illegal breeders or smugglers to prevent the rare species of animals or birds from getting extinct.

Explanation:

Animal smuggling could lead to the extinction of endangered species ,thus severely effecting the wildlife population and also vegetation ,harming the life cycle of the earth.

Hence government should take strict actions against animal smuggling , preventing the endangered species thus protecting the wildlife and life cycle of the earth.
