stratied are those which are under voluntary control. They are under the direction of our thinking. It means when we want we can move the effectors or the muscles to cause movement .Striated muscles are cinnedted to nerves to carry signal . The unstraited on the other hand are under the involuntary control. They cannot be controlled by us . We have no rights over them. The brain and the spinal cord controls it..The peristaltic movement in the stomach are caused by this muscles. The Cardiac muscles are the muscles in the heart. They are also under involuntary action . They function throughout the whole life continuously.

striated muscles are of two types
striated muscles and cardiac muscles
striated muscles are found in arms, legs and parts which which we are able to move voluntarily. on the other side cardiac muscle is only found in heart it is involuntary muscle as we can't stop our heart from beating and start on our own. the characteristic of striated muscles is that they have striations.
the unstriated muscles are those muscles which are found in such parts like iris of eye, inner lining of stomach etc.. they are involuntary and don't have striations
