Other animals are warm-blooded (mammals), lay eggs (insects and fish), or have wings (insects and bats) but only birds have feathers and all birds have feathers. Feathers are used for flight, temperature control, and attracting a mate. Most birds can fly but some like the Ostrich, Penguin and Emu cannot.
