No one is born smart , but made via learning, taming them; be it humans or animals. We have religions to guide us to the path of righteousness, morale and so on. If we have to use animals as resource then indeed they need to be cared accordingly.

We don't take milk out of stray cow, but from a 'domesticated cow' . Why? Simply because they are reliable and healthy. And if we tether an animal for our welfare then it's our duty to take care of them. They are dependent on us when captured. Even animals have soul and feelings.

Yes, it's true animals like dogs and cats need special attention as they have feelings too they also need to spend time with you. They are also living creatures. For eg: a dog needs special cares nd attention, because the veterinarians has said that dogs have childish behavior if you don't give them cares dn attention either they will never play with your and get said either they will leave the house as a human do.

Sometimes the animals we adopt have a scary past,means their pre-owners treated it badly so it got effected on their mind and they got scared after seeing the new owners,and takes times to recover from that thing,in that case it's ans owner's responsibility to give special attention and care to that animal. Not only animals but birds also suffer from this thing.

From my experience animals can't talk with us like humans does they try to communicate with us through their eyes contact,or by howling etc. If we will ignore them then it's going to be a big problem. They also have souls they also have feelings and just they can't communicate that doesn't mean that we will ignore them. They need care like a small child. They are god gift souls on this planet.
