The poet thinks he can live with animals more comfortably and with ease than with human beings because animals are more peaceful and self-contained. They do not grumble about their condition, lie awake at night and cry over their sins or discuss their duty towards God. They have no craze for hoarding things. They do not kneel before others. Though not respectable, no animal is unhappy. They are frank and clear in their relations to others. They give the poet the tokens of himself - love, respect, contentment and happiness - the tokens which he has dropped or forgotten somewhere.
