Answer:

Mohit and sumit can finish a piece of work in 12 days and 16 days respectively. In how many days The work will be completed if they work alternatively after every one day and Mohit started first?

What CRM is best for your business in 2020?

Let the work be denoted as 1.

working capacity(WC) per day of Mohit and Sunit are 1/12 & 1/16 respectively.

WC of couple ( Mohit & Sumit alternate day) in two days: 1/12 + 1/16 = 7/48

in the first 6 couples of days the completed work will be 6*7/48 = 42/48 and hence the balance work will be 6/48 = 1/8

next day(13th day) to this Mohit will complete 1/12. And now the balance work will be (1/8)-(1/12)= 1/24. Now next day Sumit will go to work and complete the balance work in:

(1/24)/(1/16) =2/3 day.

hence the total work will be completed by alternate working of Mohit & Sumit in 13 and 2/3 days.

thanx
