Step-by-step explanation:

let

number of books = x

cost of all books =60

therefore cost of one book = 60/x.......(1)

now number of books =(x+5)( if she purchase 5 more books)

cost of one book =60/x+5 .....(2)

from (1) and (2)

60/x - 60/x+5 =1

60(x+5)-60x/x(x+5) =1

x(x)+5x-300=1

x(x)+20x-15x-300=1

x(x+20)-15(x+20)

(x+20)(x-15)

x= -20,15

negative values has been not taken so

number of books purchased =15

cost of one book =60/15

=4 rupees
