So,

It is also given that she spends $\frac{1}{4} ^t ^h$ of Anita's total monthly expenses on house rent, therefore,

The fraction of Anita's monthly salary spent on house rent is,

= $\frac{1}{4} \:\times\:[total\:monthly\:expenses]$

substituting from (i)

= $\frac{1}{4} \:\times\:[\frac{2}{3} \times x]$

= $\frac{1}{2} \:\times\:\frac{1}{3} \times x$

= $\bold{\frac{1}{6} \times x}$
