Anita was twice the age of her brother. if the difference between their age is 11 years, find the present ages

let anita's brother's age be x
so Anita's age will be 2x
acc. to ques,
2x-x=11
so, x=11
and there for anitha's brothers is is equals to 11 years and anita's age is equals to 11*2=22years

Answer 2

let the age of Anita be=x
and age of brother be y
A/c x= 2y. -----(1)
and x-y =11------(2)
now put x = 2y in equation (2)
2y-y=11
y =11
and x=2y
x= 2×11= 22
