Anju, Arpit and Ankita were discussing about the height of the room.

Anju: Height of this room is 3.5 m.
Arpit: Height of this room is 10 feet.
Ankita: I measured the height using 12 inch scale and found that the scale goes 10 times exact to cover the entire length.

The correct height of the room is 340 cm. Among Anju, Arpit and Ankita whose estimation was closest to the correct height?

(1 foot = 30.48 cm, 1 inch = 2.54 cm)

Answer:

Here, the correct height of the room is 340 cm

Anju: Height of this room is 3.5 m = 3.5×100=350 cm

Arpit: Height of this room is 10 feet= 10×30.48=304.8 cm

Ankita: measured the height using 12 inch scale and the scale goes 10 times.

12×10= 120 inch = 120× 2.54=304.8 cm
