Answer: 321cm or 3.21m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: Ankit and Vishal wanted to have a contest to see whose paper planes could fly the longest distance.

Ankit's plane flew 4 m

Vishal's plane flew only 79 cm

To find: height gained by Ankit's plane more than Vishal's plane

Solution: Since Ankit's plane height is given in meters and Vishal's plane height is given in centimeters.

Convert both the plane's height in centimeters to make our calculation easier.

Ankit's plane height is 4m and in centimeters, it is 4*100=400 cm

(since 1m=100cm)

To find the height gained by Ankit's plane more than Vishal's plane

Subtract the height of Vishal's plane from Ankit's plane

i.e. 400-79=321cm

or in meters 321/100=3.21m

∴3.21m or 321cm is the height that Ankit's plane fly more than Vishal's plane
