Answers
Answer:
Let number of notebooks purchased = x
and number of pens purchased =y.
Acordingly:-
13 x + 11 y = 1000
y = (1000–13.x)/11
on putting x= 5 , y =(1000–65)/11=935/11 = 85.
In (1000–13x)/11 , there is 11 in Dr.
Next value of x = 1st value of x +multiple of 11.
= 5 +11 =16
On putting x= 16 , y =(1000–208)/11=792/11= 72.
Now putting x=16+ 11=27 , y=(1000–351)/11
=649/11=59.
Putting x=38. y=(1000–494)/11=506/11=46
Putting x=49 , y=(1000–637)/11=363/11=33
Putting x= 60 , y=(1000–780)/11=220/11=20
Putting x= 71 , y=(1000–923)/11=77/11 = 7.
Thus
No.of n/books (x) and No. of pens (y) are :-
(5,85) , (16,72) , (27,59) , (38,46) , (49,33) ,
(60,20) and (71,7) . Answer.
