•Ankit is three years older than Khushi and six years ago the age of Ankit was 4 times of Khushi.

To Find:-

•Find the present ages of both.

Solution:-

Let consider the age of Khushi be x and the age of Ankit be (x +3).

According to the question,

$\: \: \sf \: x + 3 - 6 = 4(x - 6) \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: x - 3 = 4x - 24 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: 4x - x = 24 - 3 = 21 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \: 3x = 21 \\ \\ \: \: \sf \therefore \: x = 7$

Hence,the value of x is 7years.

Therefore,

• Khushi's age = x =7 years
• Ankit's age = x + 3 = 7 +3 = 10 years
