First of all Convert mixed fraction into simple fraction :-

Cost of 41/2 kg rice = Rs 69/4

Cost of 57/4 kg sugar = Rs 27/2

=> Total Cost or Total money spent = Cost of rice + Cost of sugar

=> Total Cost = Rs (69/4 + 27/2)

=> Total Cost = Rs ( 69 + 54/4)

=> Total Cost = Rs 123/4

Hence, total money spent by Ankita is Rs 123/4.

Answer:

Rs. 538.125

Step-by-step explanation:

Total amount of rice = 20¼ kg = 20.25

Given cost of 1 kg rice = Rs. 17¼ = 17.25

Total cost of rice = 17.25×20.25= 349.3125

Total amount of sugar = 14¼ kg = 14.25

Given cost of 1 kg sugar = Rs. 13.25

Total cost of sugar = Rs. 188.8125

Total amount spent by Anita = 188.8125+349.3125 = Rs. 538.125
