let the age of Ankita be x yrs.
Let the age of her mother be y yrs
.
According to the question:-
y = 4(x)
y = 4x ........(i)

After 20 years,
Ankita = (x + 20) yrs
Mother = (y + 20) yrs.

(y + 20) = 2 (x + 20)
y+20 = 2x+40
y-2x=40-20=20 ........(ii)


Putting the value of y in eqn.(ii),
y-2x=20
4x-2x=20
2x=20
x=10

Ankita's age is 10years.
Her mother's age will be (4×10=40yrs)

AFTER 20 YRS:-
After 20 yrs,Ankita's age will be =(10+20=30yrs).
After 20yrs,mother's age will be =(40+20=60yrs).
