⇒Surface area = Curved Surface Area + Base Area

=2πrh+πr2

=2×722×3×1010.5+722×3×3cm2

⇒Area of cardboard sheet used by 35 competitors =71584×35

To Find : Length of BC

Length of AD

Length of ED

Length of AE

Solution:

Using Pythagorean Theorem

EB² + EC² = BC²

=> 3² + 4² = BC²

=> 5² = BC²

=> BC = 5

Length of BC is 5 cm

Ratio of corresponding sides of similar triangle is equal

BE/AE = CE/DE

Ratio of corresponding sides of similar triangles = Ratio of perimeter

AD/BC = 2/3

=> AD/5 = 2/3

=> AD = 10/3  cm

ED/CE  = 2/3

=> ED/4 = 2/3

=> ED = 8/3  cm

AE/BE  = 2/3

=> AE = (2/3) BE  

AE = √AD² - DE²

AE = (2/3 )√BC² -CE²
